A Message to our Policyholders and Agents about Coronavirus

At The National Security Group, we pride ourselves on providing excellent service to our policyholders and agents while providing a safe and rewarding work environment for our staff. The recent global outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has caused major disruptions in our daily lives as we deal with, not only the significant health threat but also major daily operational and economic challenges across our Nation. With schools closing for several weeks and the first cases of COVID-19 recently reported in our home state of Alabama, we are launching our pandemic response and business continuity plan that will allow us to better protect the health of our employees while continuing to meet the needs of our policyholders and agents. As we expect to ultimately have confirmed COVID-19 cases in the immediate area of our home office, we are implementing alternative work arrangements for our home office staff in order to minimize service disruptions. We are also incorporating additional preventive measures including more frequent sanitization of our work areas and encouraging social distancing among our employees. These measures will help us mitigate the risk of transmission while allowing our employees more flexibility to deal with challenges they may face at home with child care and potential family illness due to this virus.

While it is impossible to predict the full impact of this unprecedented event on our Nation, we are closely following recommendations from the Center for Disease Control along with our state health officials and local emergency management. Since we are unable to predict the severity or duration of COVID-19, we will continuously monitor the ever changing situation in order to protect our staff and minimize the risk of service disruptions. Should we experience a change in business hours of operation or other impacts due to this pandemic, updates will be provided on this website.
